313 Connection – Friday 19th September, La Cheetah Club 313 Connection returns to La Cheetah with a night dedicated to the deep-rooted bond between Detroit and Glasgow. Since its beginning, the party has carried the spirit of the Motor City into the basement, celebrating the sounds and culture that link these two places across the Atlantic. This edition sees our residents Undercurrent and Kairogen go all night long, weaving their own distinct approaches into one continuous journey. – Undercurrent – resident and co-founder of 313, he is also the driving force behind new concept Deeper Love at La Cheetah. Undercurrent is known for his varied and knowledgeable selections across vinyl and digital. His consistent dedication to music and background in sound engineering gives him a considered approach to the dancefloor. Often gravitating towards warm, rhythmic ends of house music, he will be taking us on a journey through his favourite Detroit sounds from old school to brand new. – Kairogen – the second half of 313 Connection and head of Kairoscapes, Kairogen has been developing her taste and knowledge within Glasgow for the past few years, securing headlines slots at the city’s biggest venues whilst staying true to an underground approach. 313 Connection gives her the chance to explore the roots of how she first became involved in house and techno, through the Detroit sound. Together at 313 Connection they bring their worlds into alignment – channeling the richness of Detroit’s influence while grounding it firmly in Glasgow’s underground. Expect four hours of warm energy, deep cuts and groove, as the residents take full control of the dancefloor. Very limited £1 tickets on the door before 12 and free entry with a student card!
