5 Years of Timedance

For our second La Cheetah Club presents… event of the year we tip our hat to 5 years one of the UKs most trailblazing labels – Timedance. Much like Hessle Audio and Livity Sound before it, Timedance has become an essential UK imprint, mixing the avant-garde with its club roots to release music both stimulating for the mind and body, with a tight knit roster of contemporaries counting Giant Swan, Ploy, Bruce and Lurka amongst them.

Label head Batu headlines the bill, having come a long way since his first release on Livity Sound’s reverse label in 2013. In the past 7 years his output has been nothing short of brilliant, touching all corners of the musical spectrum with his productions on labels such as Hotline, Hessle Audio and XL. He’s got the DJ skills to match too, bringing his eclectic sets round the world from Berghain to Dekmantel.

Metrist also joins us in the basement as an artist who’s consistently impressed throughout his career, putting out crushing industrial on Black Opal adjacent to more UK centric music on labels like Neighbourhood and Timedance itsself, which he’s previously released on under the moniker L.SAE.

With two artists moving very much in their own lane, under the umbrella of one of the most forward thinking labels of our time, expect a night of interesting and visceral club music.
