For an artist with as diverse a taste and output as our next guest, Mannequin Records boss and Berghain resident Alessandro Adriani, the above mantra serves as an overarching mission statement towards music where punk, wave and techno sensibilities all merge together, presented in a manner informed by years of collecting, releasing and playing vinyl from all corners of the musical spectrum.

Mannequin Records, which boasts releases from Tropic of Cancer, JASSS and past guest Black Merlin, as well as a quarterly residency at Berghain, is mostly a one man operation and a true extension of the Torinese DJs personal taste, forging links and juxtaposing records from the 80s Italian industrial scene with newer synth and wave records championed by contemporaries such as Veronica Vasicka and her Minimal Wave and Cititrax labels. In terms of personal output, Alessandro’s own productions appears on scene favourites such as Pinkman, Silent Servant’s Jealous God imprint as well as outsider labels including Bordello a Parigi and greyscale Italian techno staple, Stroboscopic Artefacts. With a deep and diverse collection as any, it’s our pleasure to have Alessandro as our next guest to spread cold waves in the La Cheetah basement.
