Radio Buena Vida presents

Thu 14th Sep

w/ Isa Gordon B2B Jack Sheenan DJ Superherb Ten Years Lost

Instalment #3 of Radio Buena Vida residency in the basement venue of La Cheetah. Brings you another night of an eclectic soup of super talented DJs/producers from RBV own airwaves. Taking you through a rollercoaster of genres and styles, it’s got a little bit of everything like a soup, right? Isa Gordon B2B Jack Sheehan  Isa Gordon and Jack Sheehan live in Govanhill and make all sorts of daring dance and folk music, Isa Gordon has an EP called Clyde Falls coming out with Optimo on the 29th of September and Jack Sheehan has a joint EP with Isa Gordon scheduled for release on the 13th of October. Neither of them are fantastic as penning press releases but they’re both amazing at pressing play on Pioneer CDJ’s and tearing up a dance floor. Expect a euphonious combo of current bass music and party throwbacks.  DJ Superherb (Full Dose) DJ Superherb is behind Glasgow based record label Full Dose, which has been focusing on a close community of artists releasing contemporary Dubwise music since 2016. Also part of the group An Gleann Dubh and other unidentified projects on the label. A selector first, often found spinning slow jams or rinsing club heat. Interested in music as a spectrum with no strict policy to genre. The latest LP ‘Concrete City Merchandise’ in collaboration with Ten Years Lost, was hand picked by Bandcamp for their ‘Best Electronic’ list for this August. Ten Years Lost (Mom’s Spaghetti) Chris Smith aka Ten Years Lost is no stranger to the underground music scene in Glasgow having DJ’d on and off for over ten years now (no pun intended) developing side projects and aliases for his DJ output and creative endeavors such as his Funk/Boogie sets under the name Bop Gun and his early Techno productions under the name Unit Trax. In 2020 he successfully launched his own vinyl bootleg series called Mom’s Spaghetti which converts a wide variation of musical influences such as Disco, Boogie and southern rap into muscular dancefloor productions which has received plays and praise from the underground scene including radio and club plays from the likes of Charlie Bones and Ben UFO.
