The party you’ve all been craving is blasting through the La Cheetah Club basement once again with RUSH DJ’s bringing back the Rave style and the deepest, darkest roots of underground music to take you to a world beyond

This time we’re bringing down one of our favourite party crews in the form of the legendary Pussypower productions team. After seeing these guys at their series of events at La bodega the past few years we knew they would fit the style of RUSH perfectly. One things for sure they know how to throw a party that will take you to a world beyond…

….Jason Power

Jason Pussypower along with his brother Terry are founder members of Pussypower Productions and have been purrveyors of quality sounds on the underground acidhouse and techno scene for over 25 years, well 27 to be precise.

During that time they’ve brought some of the biggest DJs and producers to Glasgow, acts such as Eddie Richards, Aphex Twin, Carl Craig, Green Velvet and Dj Pierre, this list is not exhaustive! Their all night parties throughout the country and club nights in the Arches Theatre and Industria are legendary, the latter even got a mention in Irvine Welsh’s ‘Ecstasy’.

Jason has an uncompromising style, with a consistent selection of quality tunes. He’s comfortable with a variety of genres, but is best known for breakbeat, acidhouse, techno and otherworldly electro such as Drexciya, DJ Stingray or Glasgow’s own Galaxian. He’s also been known to throw some Dead Kennedys into his sets or even some Al Green, with a twist of wonky techno…

He spent several years in the Czech Republic and still has close ties there with regular gigs in and around Prague and frequent spots at Czech underground techno festival Breakfest along side the likes of Neil Landstrumm, Jerome hill, Crystal Distortion and Mike Dred to name but a few.

Unit PD

Unit PD aka Paul Downie, cut his teeth as young DJ back in 1991 Making appearances at the former Mickey House pre-club with a wealth of knowledge of tunes from his love of vintage Electro, Hip Hop and early House.

In 95 Paul had linked up with the formidable PussyPower Productions crew who had been regularly bringing to glasgow some of the world’s top Techno artists to the Scottish nightclubs and instantly became part of their family. By now he had grown fully into an impressive DJ with a discerning selection of Acid, Techno, Electro & House, Selecting the finest cuts from labels such as Carl Craig’s futuristic Planet e, Nu Groove from Brooklyn, Dance Mania, Transmat, Metroplex, and Richie Hawtins groundbreaking Plus 8 imprint, at events in various venues, such as Glasgow’s legendary Soundhaus and in the festi vibe gatherings at Talamh House

Still to this day in 2019 Paul has continued to play diverse underground sets of Electro and Acid and Techno with Pussy Power, other crews and other DJs and Artists, such as Ben Pest, Fear-E, Wax Factory, The Burrell Connection, and, soon to come The Sugar Experiment Station with Neil Landstrumm & Tobias Schmidt. He also holds a residency slot each Friday night on the M.A.D. Radio show, where you can hear him drop the latest cuts streamed live from Glasgow Strathclyde University’s Station, strathclydefusion.com

Paul’s been laying down some of the most jackin’ sets we’ve heard at the La Bodega parties over the last couple of years. So much so he’s been getting attention from down south with the Downfall parties in London! Here’s a belter of a mix he put together for them
