HERE IT IS!! We’re delighted we can finally make our third (but not final!) residency announcement of 2019. Joining Objekt and Shanti Celeste this year is… AVALON EMERSON!
If you were with us this NYE, or have been lucky enough to catch Avalon at one of the many festivals or clubs she’s graced in recent times, then you’ll know exactly how much of a deal this is! With a Radio 1 Essential mix shortlisted for best of 2018 and just this month contributing to Resident Advisor’s highly acclaimed ‘Art of DJing’ series (all whilst delivering her dynamic sets of tripped out techno, electro and breakbeat cuts the world over) US born, Berlin-based Avalon Emerson is a true maestro in the booth and in the studio. With timeless releases on Whities, Spectral Sound and Spring Theory, many of which also made countless end of year ‘best of’ sections, her praises as a producer are also well and truly deserved.
As with all of our residency parties, the keys to the club are handed over for four nights throughout the year, which Avalon will curate and play at. Joining her for the first leg is… ROI PEREZ!
With Avalon’s near 9-hour marathon closing set at Berghain’s Klubnacht a few years back still talked about as the stuff of legend, who better to kick off her residency than Berghain / Panorama Bar cohort Roi Perez! Since moving to Berlin in 2013 Roi has established a consistently coherent and creative output that has landed him a residency at Panorama Bar, as well as regular shows the world over. Renowned for long eclectic sets which weave house, techno, disco and electro to hypnotic effect, his musical knowledge as a selector has also landed him a spot as curator for London’s Phonica Records where his love for vinyl, devotion and fascination with electronic music meet his daily routine.
You can expect only the unexpected as these two take you on a trip across the spectrum over the full four hours, get down early and stay late – you won’t wanna miss a minute!
