One of the most in-demand UK selectors, London-based KT is enjoying a rather meteoric rise through the ranks at present. Her synth-laden cuts have and continue to take her far and wide and having already covered most of the UK she is already in the process of ticking off large sections of the globe off her list. With a touring schedule that would fill most with fear she shrugs it off to regularly trot around the world to headsy critical acclaim. Glasgow up and comer Carmen Baia has pricked our ears of late with note worthy Buena Vida radio shows and a host of impressive bookings. Carmen’s sets embrace a diverse range of genres, including Latin-influenced house, world-dance, jungle and baile funk. Her upbringing in Portugal rooted her love for bossanova (literally new wave sounds). Carmen’s instinctual rhythms effortlessly move crowds, encouraging organic and immersive dance experiences. Kingpin of London’s ‘All My Friends’ venue has been making waves in the capital over the last few years with high-grade electro vinyl sets and bookings showing recognition for his talent. Recent sets include Alien Communication’s The Halloween Bang, the Cause summer festival, Barcelona’s Switch Bar plus a warm-up for the legend Quest in Hackney Wicks’s number 90. As a Lezure London resident expect a smooth flow with Lezure commander in chief Sloan. Hong Kong via Chicago bart. is another pillar of the Lezure London lot, regularly spinning across some of the capital’s favourite spots. His inner space music party series has been bringing lesser known DJs from around the world to Hackney Wick to play b2b with him which we are regular attendees of. An excellent producer in his own right his hard drive is full of self made tracks as well as collaborations that show a musical knowledge and narrative that is begging to be released. After 6 months away from Glasgow, Sloan makes a return to the La Cheetah booth. With sorer knees, bigger bags under the eyes but a plethora of hard dug tunes that shows it was all worth it.
