STFU! is back for its second instalment with Lewis Lowe and Plantainchipps while celebrating ELANDA’s 25th birthday party! Glasgow based Lewis Lowe , co-owner of independent record label Redstone Press and resident at Sneaky Pete’s (Edinburgh) is an established regular in the UK underground club scene appearing at festivals such as Field Maneuvers, Love Saves he Day and Riverside Festival. Lewis continues to hone his own brand of off-killer heads down, queer-adjacent techno whilst nodding towards everything else that takes his fancy. His imprint Redstone Press has received plays from the likes of Ben UFO, Sicaria Sound & Elena Colombi amongst others and has worked with artists Eris Drew, Henry Greenleaf and Liam Robertson (Clouds) in its 5 year lifetime. 2023 looks to be Lewis’ most exciting year yet with bigger festivals and more Redstone Press releases on the horizon. DJ and Music Producer, Plantainchipps is all about upbeat and fast-paced sounds, music that uplifts and excites. She keeps it energentic, multidimensional and firmly rooted on the dancefloor with selections including afrobeats, R’n’B, house & dancehall. Plantainchipps has played a variety of gigs around Glasgow including The Berkley Suite, The Art School and Stereo, and supported artists such as Peach, Shygirl, Bonaventure & Lorraine James. Joining the duo is ELANDA an Afro-Scot DJ & producer from Zimbabwe residing in Glasgow, who’s been making herself heard across Scotland with her percussive and intoxicatingly melodic style Her sound is an eclectic, deep, dark- a rhythmic-led melodic trip. Flowing seamlessly from afro-tech/house, to global bass, leftfield, and UK dubstep, she brings an effortless finesse to dance music.
